
ATTRACTIONS
Lawsons Retreat is situated on the north east coast of Tasmania, just outside the east coast's largest town St Helens. Roughly 2 hours (165km east) from Launceston and 3 hours (250km northeast) from Hobart, the area is accessed by a combination of Midland and Esk Highways. When staying at Lawsons Retreat you truely are on the edge of some of Tasmania's natural wonders.

BAY OF FIRES
St Helens is the gate way to the breathtaking Binalong Bay and Bay of Fires. Named Australia's best beach for 2025, the 50km stretch of coastline is known for its white sandy beaches, torquiest blue water and distinctive granite boulders covered in vivid orange lichen.

Binalong Bay marks the southern end of the Bay of Fires, while larapuna/Eddystone Point, within Mount William National Park marks the boundary to the north.

BLUE TIER
The Blue Tier in Northeast Tasmania is a natural reserve and sub-alpine plateau offering diverse walking and mountain biking experiences, including world-class trails like the Blue Tier Trail connecting to the Blue Derby network. It features spectacular rainforest, mountain views, a rich mining history, and a variety of wildlife.
STAR GAZE
Tasmania is known for its clear skies, perfect for star gazing and catching the Aurora Australis. The very minimal light pollution at Lawsons Retreat creates the perfect opportunity to see this natural wonder from your apartments front deck! Prime viewing is in the winter months, especially on clear, dark nights with minimal moon light.
